A spectacular French Rococo-inspired marble fireplace, 'The Chateau'. The distinctive serpentine frieze and shelf are characteristic of the Louis XV style, the grand proportions of this superb mantelpiece are balanced by delicate hand-carved details, including an ornate cartouche, end blocks adorned with shells, acanthus leaves and beautifully scrolled jambs.
