Waldorf Astoria 163
Modelled after a Louis XVI marble mantelpiece in the famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel, New York, in the 1930s. The rectangular moulded shelf sits atop an inset-panelled frieze with rosette patera corner blocks on either side and scrolled fluted jambs.
